Nils Röller is professor for Media and Cultural Theory at the University of the Arts, Zurich, where he is co-director of the special field of Media Art. He obtained his master in philosophy from the Free University Berlin and a PhD on media theory from Bauhaus University, Weimar, Germany. He was a visiting fellow (2002-2003) at the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) in Karlsruhe. Nils Röller's research is focussing on the history of media and instruments (www.romanform.ch). He is also co-editor of the Journal for Art. Sex, and Mathematics.
